As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and helping to create memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Management
- Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising restaurant staff.
- Support scheduling employees and managing shifts effectively.
- Provide leadership and motivation to the team in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
Customer Service Support
- Assist in maintaining high customer satisfaction by upholding excellent service standards.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, providing resolutions when needed.
- Support staff in delivering outstanding customer service experiences.
Operational Management
- Help oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and enforce standard operating procedures.
Financial Management
- Aid in monitoring budgets, expenses, and revenue.
- Assist in controlling costs and maximizing profitability.
- Support in preparing financial reports for management.
Marketing and Promotion Assistance
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract customers.
- Support the promotion of special events or offers and utilize social media for advertising.
Quality Control Support
- Help ensure food, beverages, and service meet established standards.
- Assist in monitoring food preparation and presentation quality.
Training and Development Support
- Aid in providing ongoing training to staff to enhance skills and performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends to share knowledge with the team.
Vendor Relations Support
- Assist in establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
- Help monitor supply quality and address issues.
Community Engagement Support
- Assist in establishing a presence in the local community and responding to feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
