Valence Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee financial operations within the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and Construction sectors. This role is essential for managing financial statements, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and providing financial insight to support company growth. Candidates with strong experience in the GCC region are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily financial operations related to MEP and construction projects.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, balance sheets, and income statements.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards in the GCC.
• Coordinate and lead audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets and financial performance of construction projects.
• Handle payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and other financial transactions.
• Forecast financial trends and prepare cash flow statements to support decision-making.
• Ensure the timely closing of monthly and annual accounts.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; a professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in the GCC, preferably in the MEP or construction industry.
• Strong understanding of GCC tax laws, VAT, and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
