Key Responsibilities
Guest Reception
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and thank them as they leave.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to ensure efficient flow and minimal wait times.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
Customer Service
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries about reservations, menu items, and general information.
- Handle guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Organization and Coordination
- Maintain an organized and tidy reception area.
- Coordinate with the waitstaff and kitchen to manage table availability and guest flow.
- Update the reservation system with accurate guest information and seating preferences.
Menu and Specials Promotion
- Inform guests about daily specials, promotions, and new menu items.
- Assist in promoting special events or seasonal offerings.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the waitstaff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members to relay guest needs and preferences.
Administrative Duties
- Assist with administrative tasks such as managing the reservation book, taking messages, and maintaining guest records.
- Handle basic clerical duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Receptionist, Hostess, or in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with grace and professionalism.
- Familiarity with reservation and seating management systems is a plus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
