We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical components and systems. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes to ensure the creation of efficient and reliable products.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Planning:

• Develop detailed mechanical designs and plans for HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems for projects.
• Conduct site surveys to assess existing conditions and gather relevant data.
• Create and review mechanical drawings, specifications, and documentation.

Project Management:

• Oversee the mechanical aspects of projects from conception through to completion.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
• Prepare project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of milestones.

Installation and Supervision:

• Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to on-site installation teams.
• Resolve any issues that arise during the construction and installation phases.

Quality Assurance:

• Perform quality control checks and ensure that all mechanical work meets the required standards and specifications.
• Conduct testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Prepare detailed reports on the performance and functionality of installed systems.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure all mechanical designs and installations comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and inspection reports.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical advice and solutions.
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to keep them informed of project progress and any issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a contracting or fit-out environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations.
