We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Operations Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in the successful launch and ongoing operations of our new mall in Amman, Jordan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, excellent customer acquisition skills, and extensive experience in handling lease agreements. This position requires a strategic thinker who can drive retail success and create a thriving shopping environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lease Management
- Identify and attract potential tenants to ensure a diverse and appealing tenant mix.
- Negotiate lease agreements with prospective tenants, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
- Manage lease renewals and amendments, maintaining positive relationships with current tenants.
- Ensure compliance with all lease terms and conditions, addressing any issues that arise.
Customer Acquisition and Retention
- Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotions, events, and campaigns that drive foot traffic.
- Establish strong relationships with local businesses, community groups, and media to promote the mall.
- Monitor customer satisfaction levels and implement improvements based on feedback.
Retail Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of retail outlets within the mall, ensuring high standards of service.
- Implement and monitor retail operational policies and procedures.
- Manage the recruitment, training, and development of retail staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to improve team performance.
Financial Management
- Prepare and manage budgets for retail operations and marketing activities.
- Analyze sales and revenue reports to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Implement cost-saving measures without compromising on service quality.
- Work with finance teams to ensure accurate and timely rent collection and financial reporting.
Strategic Planning
- Develop long-term retail strategies aligned with the mall’s vision and objectives.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on retail trends and competitor activities.
- Plan and execute strategies to enhance the overall shopping experience.
- Collaborate with senior management on business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience as a Retail Manager or similar role in a mall or large retail environment.

- Strong understanding of retail operations, customer acquisition, and lease management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in retail management software and MS Office.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with a strategic mindset.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred.
- Valid driving license is required.
- Preference will be given to candidates of Jordanian nationality.
